Our research addresses how extreme weather impacts the hydrologic processes and further influences water quantity. We study how much water is transported, remains, and yields both under the impact of anthropological activities and natural environment changes. We work on interdisciplinary research projects within which, we use computer modeling coupled with field experiments.

We are trying our best to advance the current knowledge in environmental sustainability and resilience, to develop better engineering solutions to make our communities more resilient, and to transfer gained knowledge both into applied research and to younger generations.

I am the Robert S. Gooch Endowed Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Texas, Arlington. I am also the associate chair of the academic council for the InFRM (Interagency Flood Risk Management), an Integrated Water Resources Sciences and Services program established by a joint effort from FEMA, USGS, NWS, and USACE.
